Hunan Puqi Research Institute has three institutions: Puqi New Energy Research Institute, Puqi Water Environment Research Institute and Puqi geological exploration Equipment Research Institute. Committed to the application of high-tech research and major national science and technology research, mainly engaged in: Research, manufacturing, sales and service of pipeline network loss reduction, geophysical exploration, pipeline detection, water quality analysis, disaster prevention and reduction, earthquake early warning, ground penetration communication, smart pipeline, life detection, new energy fire trucks, classic cars, sightseeing vehicles, patrol vehicles, golf vehicles, water leakage detection vehicles and other fields. At present, it has jointly established the 13th five-year national water special research and development base, leak detection teaching and test base with Harbin Institute of Technology, established the industry-university-research strategic innovation cooperation base with Hunan University of Science and Technology, and established the long-term cooperation with Changsha University in research and application, and jointly established the non-metallic pipeline detection test base.

The headquarters of the institute is located in Jinxia Future Science and Technology City, Jinxia Economic Development Zone, and has manufacturing bases in Lugu, Changsha, Fengxian, Shanghai and Dezhou, Shandong. Its products have been sold to more than 150 countries around the world, the products developed have independent intellectual property rights, and the scientific research and technology level is in the international leading position. Up to now, it has applied for more than 400 national patents and won the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of Hunan Province in 2019. From 2018 to 2020, it has been awarded as the "contract-abiding and creditworthy" unit of Hunan Province and Changsha City for three consecutive years.
